Some q&a about my writing

1. When did you get into writing?
I’ve been writing since I was 9-10 years old. Although I created lots of stories (that I couldn’t write at all) before that time. I think the first story I wrote was about me and my friends being some kind of superheros and beating some people I didn’t like back in that time.
2. What writing-related sites have you ever signed up for?
Actually I’m very shy when it comes to share my original work, so I signed up in fanfiction sites. You know, Fanfiction.net, Slasheaven, Archive of Our Own, even Amor Yaoi when I was like 14. The only site I joined and where I didn’t post fanfiction was this forum, La casa literaria, but I didn’t stay for too long. I recieved some nice comments about my work there.
3. What defines your style as a writer?
I don’t know about style. I just know that mine has a little of every author I’ve read in my life and of every author who taught me something with their writing.
4. What is your favourite piece that you have done?
This fanfiction: Se le llama locura. FrUK. Is, by far, my favorite. You see, I’m never satisfied with my writing. Never. I’m extremely perfectionist and I compare myself too much with other writers around my age and with my friends (yeah, with them too), and I always feel like my work is not good enough. But when I wrote this fic everything was so nice, I enjoyed writing it as you have no idea. And the final result was, for me, perfect.
5. What is your least favourite piece that you have done?
It was much easier to answer the last one. I have lots of least favorite pieces. I’ve destroyed some of them, I’ve deleted files and files with poems, short stories and fanfiction. But if I have to choose only one, I must say it was a fic I deleted it from almost every site I posted it and from my computer too. I liked it when I wrote it, but it was… well, when I grew up I started to feel unconfortable of keep recieving comments and notifications of people adding that fic to their favs. I’ve never had grammar mistakes (at least not the kind of horrible and unforgivable), but the composition of the story wasn’t that good for me. Many people loved that fic, though. It had 500+ comments when I deleted it.
6. What do you like most about your writing?
This is a hard one, you have no idea. I already said I’m never satisfied with my work, but I do like the way I write dialogs. It’s funny, as many other authors, I act what I’m writing and dialogs are particulary fun. I love it specially when I’m writing a verbal fight. Once in a while I’m really surprised for the answers I say, some are really hilarious!
7. What do you like writing about the most?
Slash! Fiction and romance.
8. Do you write more fanfiction or original work?
I write more fanfiction than original works. Fanfiction is more comfortable. I mean, you don’t have to create a whole world most of the time... unless you are like me and love writing AU. Then you probably spend a lot of time creating worlds.
9. What is your purpose for writing?
I’d like to be a published author, of course, but I write because I’ve found that, with words, I can do anything I’m not able to do in real life. I write because writing makes me feel happy and alive, writing makes me feel like I’m good doing something better than certain people. I write to create something people would love and remember forever.
10. What do you think you could stand to improve on?
Everything. I’d like to improve my lexicon, so I can write using more words than the common ones. I’d like to delve into human emotions. And I’d like to create better characters!
11.Anything else to add?
The biggest problem with my writing is that I tend to write fragments or random scenes all the time and when it comes to fill all those spaces between them, I don’t know what to write. And that’s so infuriating because, man, sometimes there is a really good scene, something I planned since the beginning of the story, AND IT IS FLOATING IN THE LAST PAGES BECAUSE I CAN’T FIND A PROPER WAY TO WRITE EVERYTHING. I hate it specially when that scene is in the middle of the story or at the end. That’s why I have al these WIPs in my files.
